10-Year-Old JACKIE EVANCHO Signs with Syco/Columbia Records

 This is a big deal!  Jackie Evancho didn't win "America's Got Talent", but I predicted at the time that she would be performing to huge audiences for many years to come. It goes without saying that a child who was so hugely popular and with so much talent simply had to be picked up by a record company. Well, that's already happened. She has a record deal with Syco/Columbia Records.

Jackie Evancho, the 10-year-old opera prodigy and runner-up from this season of America’s Got Talent, has signed with Syco/Columbia Records. It’s not too surprising that she’d sign with a label, given her viral popularity and obvious talent, and it’s even less surprising that she’d sign with Simon Cowell’s label, given her reality pedigree. Sometimes the world makes sense after all!

Evancho was a fan favorite on AGT, and week-to-week, the judges heaped more praise on her than any other contestant. It is a little creepy to hear what sounds like a fully matured operatic voice coming out of an adorable, tiny, blond child? It’s not…not creepy? But it’s also pretty stunning:

  1. Ten years later and you are proven correct. She has 3 Diamond Albums. Eight or nine albums total? And absolutely showed her many talents as "Kitty" on The Masked Singer T.V. show.
    Jackie has a unique voice. Perhaps there is someone out there that has her range with magical warmth in her voice. But I have not heard it yet.
