Bookmakers Say Jackie Evancho Strong Favourite!

While the bookmakers are busy calculating the odds, we're just looking forward to hearing her sing again. She really has an awesome voice and I'd love to hear her sing something contemporary this time, but I don't know if that would be as effective now. We'll just expect the best.

Saturday 11 September 2010 at 11:53  OLGB Betting News

Ten-year-old opera singer Jackie Evancho’s position at the top of the bookmaker’s odds hardened after the midweek semi-final of Americas Got Talent and the young singer now looks to be pulling away from the remaining competitors.

Jackie Evancho Now Odds On To Win Americas Got Talent

Jackie Evancho’s rendition of Pie Jesu in the Semi-Final of Americas Got Talent was easily enough to push the singer into Wednesday’s final but also impressed bookmakers Bet365 who have now made the youngster a 4/7 shot to win the final.

Evancho faces stiff competiton from the amazing dance troupe Fighting Gravity and the unique backilight performers may be better suited to winning the prize of headlining at Las Vegas than the very young Evancho. Bet365 make Fighting Gravity the 3/1 second favourite.

Jackie Evancho, Michael Grimm, Prince Poppycock, and Fighting Gravity in the finals

Jackie Evancho and her dream live on as she was one of four chosen to make it to the Finals of America's Got Talent. Every time I hear her sing - or even hear her speak, she is so self-assured that  I have to remind myself that she's not an adult, but only a little girl. A very awesomely talented one to be sure.

'America's Got Talent': Prince Poppycock, Jackie Evancho, Michael Grimm, and Fighting Gravity make it to the finals

EW.com: by Emily Exton

Congratulations, PopWatchers. After endless rounds of terrible auditions and prolonged canned moments of suspense courtesy of Nick Cannon, we have finally reached the finals of America’s Got Talent.

Last night America voted Prince Poppycock, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho, and Fighting Gravity into the finals, leaving Michael Grasso, Taylor Matthews, Jeremy Vanschoonhoven, Christina & Ali, Anna & Patryk, and Studio One Young Beast Society behind.

There was no judges’ choice this time, so the four advancing acts were clearly the most popular (and arguably the most deserving) acts of the entire competition. Although these performers have been miles ahead of some of the others this season (remember Jimmy Dinh and Mary Ellen?), we are still left with 3 vocalists and 1 dance group.

Will America ever be ready for something a little different? Or does true talent trump all, regardless of what you do? Will anyone be disappointed if a singer wins again?

Each act will perform one last time on Tuesday night, followed by the live two-hour results show on Wednesday, where the winner will receive the $1 million prize
.
Is this your dream Final 4? Who were you sad to see miss the cut?
